As you can see room rental during Ultra Europe in Croatia is around 200€ per night and that is crazy to book, but you can get it way cheaper even for 60€ per night. So let us guide you!
As Croatia is small country based on tourism everyone rents their houses, apartments, rooms, etc. especially during hot season. That is why you need to look wider for cheap rental. Cities that surround Split are not famous and not known that that is why you can get way cheaper there.
Look outside Split
Split is surrounded by Kaštela (you go through Kaštela when you are traveling from Split airport to Split), Stobreč, Podstrana, Dugi rat and Trogir. All those places are around 30-45 minutes bus drive from Split center and they have a lot lower prices.
I am currently looking at prices in Stobreč witch is practically Split. Prices for apartment rental there are around 120 euros per night and you are 10 minutes bus drive from Split. Lets go even further! Prices in very close place called Podstrana are even lower! For studio apartment in Podstrana you need to pay just 49€ per night (you need to look good to find good deal – lot of luxury places that go up to 200€). And you know the best part? From Podstrana to Split you have around 30 minutes bus drive or 15 minutes car drive! In place called Jasenice that is 45 minutes bus drive from Split (or 25 minutes drive by car – south) you can find apartments for even 30-40€ per night (entire apartment).
North from Split there is place called Kaštela. They are not so popular by tourists so you can find cheap rental there. From further place in Kaštela to Split center you need just 45 minutes (like from Airport to center) or 20 minutes with car. Kaštela are very long collection of small towns and further you get from Split prices go lower. In Kaštela you can find rentals for even 30 Euros per night!
Look further don’t focus your self in city itself. Prices in Split go up because of ultra festival and you don’t need to pay that much. Split is OK connected with it’s surrounding cities like Kaštela, Podstrana, etc. so use that benefit and get better deal. If you save 60€ per day on apartment rental you can get car rental (around 35€ per day for more days) and you are still mobile and very close to your apartment. Be smart! Look further! Get cheaper!
